History of Landscapes
History of Landscapes, found military name tags, 2008
This work uses embroidered name tags from used military uniforms to evoke references to communication both in and out of the military. Instead of war, they memorialize the labor of the person wearing the uniform as well as the color of the landscape of their grind. The title, references military communication and slang through use of the NATO phonetic alphabet, while the diverse names points to the broad experience and backgrounds of those who wore them.
